Gabriel Gomez-Sandoval Memorial Farmworker Scholarship

   2023 Scholarship Applications Open Now!

CFLCA is proud to support the growth and development of the next generation by providing college and trade school scholarships for students who are farmworker employees (or their children) of California farm labor contractors.

Since 2016, we have distributed over $280,000 in funding!

Watch our past recipient's success stories here

Gabriel Gomez-Sandoval is the beloved son of CFLCA founder and first Executive Director, Guadalupe (Lupe) Sandoval. As a sophomore in High School, Gabriel was diagnosed with Leukemia. He battled this disease fearlessly and quietly, however he passed in 2005 as an optimistic and determined college student. Gabriel's dream was to become a teacher. His love for education and passion for giving back were the inspiration for this scholarship fund.

Congratulations to the

2022 Scholarship Recipients!

Thank you to all of CFLCA members and supporters for helping me accomplish my dreams. The CFLCA Farm Worker Scholarship has allowed me to attend and graduate from Grand Canyon University with my Bachelors Degree in Science in Nursing.

I am officially a registered nurse, working in the hospitals helping the community during this difficult time, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Your contribution and support goes a long way and truly impacts a students life.

Thank you,

Francisco Solis
