Farm Labor Contractor 9-Hour Continuing Education Seminars (online)

CFLCA provides required and regularly updated compliance and best practices information through our FLC 9-Hour programs. The CFLCA programs are approved by the Department of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) to fulfill the requirement of nine hours of continuing education for FLC licensing and annual renewal.

Our ag employer compliance seminars are valuable to all agricultural employers and their key staff. These classes offer a wide range of information, including updates on: new labor laws; wage and hour requirements; Cal OSHA requirements; worker transportation issues; effective management and best practices; plus the two-hour requirement and certificate on sexual harassment prevention.

Hand-Harvest Safety for Managers (online)

The 2020 harvest poses new and greater challenges than ever: from new government regulations to quarantines. Get ahead of a hectic season by participating in this specialized training for supervisors, managers, safety & HR personnel, and FLCs/Vineyard Managers to better manage the growing range of worker safety issues.

4-Hour Instructor Training: Harassment Prevention (online)

Learn what it takes to be a Harassment Prevention trainer, qualified to administer legally compliant training for supervisors and non-supervisory employees. This four-hour seminar will provide the necessary knowledge and resources for you to conduct training programs on the prevention of harassment, bullying, retaliation, and other forms of related discrimination as mandated by California state laws (SB 1343, SB 1087, AB 2053, and SB 396) including:

  • Annual 2-hour supervisor training
  • Time of hire non-supervisory employee training

2-Hour Harassment Prevention Training for Supervisors (online)

This two-hour online seminar fulfills the supervisor training requirements on harassment prevention in compliance with SB 1343 and SB 1087. The session provides practical and interactive education on the rights and responsibilities of supervisors to prevent and report any type of harassment, bullying, retaliation, or other forms of related discrimination. Participants will leave understanding:

  • What sexual harassment is and how to prevent it
  • How to manage discrimination/harassment based on gender identity and/or sexual orientation
  • What workplace bullying is and ways to eliminate it
  • How to properly report and manage harassment issues

Instructor Training: Heat Illness Prevention Training (online)

This two-hour online seminar for supervisors, HR, and safety personnel provides practical and interactive education on how to prevent, recognize, and respond to heat illness as well as developing and implementing policies to protect workers, including legally mandated training of all employees.

Participants will leave understanding:

  • Cal OSHA Heat Illness Prevention standards
  • Training requirements (with tools/resources)
  • High heat procedures
  • Fundamental emergency protocols
  • Other compliance requirements

Due to limited capacity for courses, we are unable to grant refunds. Registration fees may be credited to a future course when requested a minimum of 72 hours in advance and will be subject to a transfer fee. Transfer fees will be waived for CFLCA members. No shows or failure to submit requests 72 hours in advance will forfeit all registration fees.
