In 2016, SB 1087 created new requirements for all FLCs to provide annual two-hour harassment prevention training for supervisory staff. It also requires day-of-hire harassment training for non-supervisory employees. This additional training, supplementing the every-two year supervisor training requirement under AB 1825, can be provided by the FLC or their appropriate designee. This training program is designed to prepare FLCs and their designees to comply with these harassment training requirements. Attendees will receive a certificate of training as evidence of qualifications to serve as a trainer under SB 1087, and completion of the 2-hour harassment prevention training requirement.

Now, in 2019, under SB 1343, California employers with five or more employees face new requirements for providing harassment prevention training – the two-hour supervisor training requirement has been expanded to apply to employers of five or more employees, and now also mandates one-hour of harassment prevention training to non-supervisory staff. This program will review the new training requirements and deadlines for compliance that apply to growers, wineries, and other operations. The new requirements also apply to farm labor contractors.
This training also fulfills the requirement of two-hours of harassment prevention training for supervisors.
