Instructor Training: Heat Illness Prevention and COVID-19 Compliance

This 2.5 hour online training seminar for supervisors, HR, and safety personnel provides practical and interactive education to help effectively manage changing compliance requirements to prevent, recognize, and respond to heat illness. The training also provides guidance for the development and implementation of policies to protect workers, including effective training of all employees and documentation requirements.

Participants will gain a greater understanding of:

• Evolving Cal/OSHA Heat Illness Prevention requirements
• Common violations and how to avoid them
• Training requirements (with tools/resources)
• High heat procedures
• Fundamental emergency protocols
• Significant changes and impacts due to COVID-19 Prevention regulations

The training will be conducted by Guadalupe (Lupe) Sandoval, a qualified instructor with over 30 years of agricultural safety and health training experience. Participants will receive a certificate of completion and resources from the seminar.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Due to limited capacity, we are unable to grant refunds. Registration fees may be credited to a future course when requested a minimum of 72 hours in advance and will be subject to a transfer fee of $50.00. Transfer fees will be waived for CFLCA members. No shows or failure to submit requests 72 hours in advance will forfeit all registration fees.
